Abstract
583,137. Hose couplings. BISHOP, W. H., and CLEMENTS, W. E. Sept. 8, 1944, No. 17209. [Class 99 (i)] A device for connecting a hose to a tap comprises a socket member fitted to the hose and engaged over the mouth of the tap, a lever a connected to the socket and adapted to bear at its end remote from the socket on the underside of the tap or pipe or bracket c, a hook f engaging the body of the tap d and a nut n screwing on to the hook shank and engaging the lever at an intermediate point. The socket may be integral with or pivotally attached to the lever, which may be a sheet metal stamping having upstanding lugs b to which the socket is pivoted.
