576,370. Electric radiators; reflectors. MODINSTAL ELECTRIC Co., Ltd., and MALINS, E. C. March 27, 1944, No. 5612. [Classes 39 (iii) and 126] In an electric infra-red generator the reflector 4 is secured to a flange 2 formed integrally with the ceramic or other element supporting body 1 having a screw cap 3 &c. for mounting in a holder. The reflector 4 which may have a protective backing of ceramic material &c. is secured to the flange by bolts and nuts 5 acting through arcuate slots for adjustment, and in-modifications is mounted in front of the flange (Fig. 2, not shown), between a flange and a ring, or between a pair of spaced integral flanges (Fig. 3, not shown) one flange being gapped for fitting purposes. The Provisional Specification states also that the heating filament may be cemented into an exernal groove on the hollow ceramic body, leaving a pla:n smooth surface.
