[Classes 39 (ii) and 39 (iii)] A source of infra-red radiation consists of an incandescent refractory filament 2, in a bulb wholly or partly composed of a material favouring the transmission of infra-red rays and absorbing shorter wave lengths. A portion of the bulb constitutes a mirror 12, 14 for concentrating the rays from the filament and directing them out from the bulb. That portion of the bulb which transmits the energy may be frosted. Specification 548,353 is referred to.
