570,937. Changing gauge of wheels. IRANZO, E. R. Nov. 2, 1943, No. 18122. Convention date, Feb. 17. [Class 103 (vi)] Hubs 2 fixed on the axle 1 have at each of their sides flanges 5 to which wheel-discs 3 are alternatively bolted to vary the distance between the wheels. Securing bolts 6 for the discs screw into split collars 7 which are of such length as, with the wheel disc, to fill the space between the hub flanges. The hubs, as shown, may be split. Specification 522,978, [Group XXXIV], is referred to.
