293,128. Cuthill, J., and Dignan, E. M. April 1, 1927. Compression-spoke wheels; disc wheels. - To give a spoked wheel the appearance of a disc wheel, the spaces between the spokes f are closed by pairs of plates a, b which are clamped against the sides of the wheel, as by bolts and nuts d, e. Instead of using external nuts, the bolts may be threaded into tapped bosses projecting inwardly from the plates; or pairs of bolts may be entered from both sides to engage, a short sleeve or nut between the plates.
