Abstract
570,627. Securing the lids of drums &c. BROWN, H., and READS, Ltd. Oct. 19, 1943, No. 17159. [Class 21] [Also in Group XXV] A clip for securing the lid to a sheet metal drum, keg, &c. of the type comprising a sole plate 1 securable to the container wall, with lugs 2 to which is pivoted by a pin 4 a channelled lever 3 carrying a pivoted hook or loop 7, has the lugs 2 provided with a reinforcement consisting of a tubular spacer positioned around the part of pin 4 between the lugs. Non- ferrous washers may be placed between the lugs 2 and the sides of lever 3.
