556,965. Vehicle couplings. LE TOURNEAU, Inc., R. G. April 21, 1942, No. 5252/43. Convention date, June 20, 1941. Divided out of 556,937. [Class 103 (v)] [Also in Group XXV] A ball-and-socket unit for earth-working equipment is provided with a dust-cap 22 forming a seal between a trunnion 4 on the ball and the socket body 8. A flat ring 20 affording clearance for the trunnion 4 is press-fitted into an opening in the body 8, and a bead 24 of the dust-cap 22 is fitted into an annular groove in the ring 20, a bead 23 at the othr end of the cap 22 closely engaging the trunnion and the outer side of a flange 21 on the trunnion.
