[Class 120 (ii)] A high-draft drawing apparatus for spinning and like frames has short apron rollers, e.g. of two spindles length, arranged in alignment and each adapted to accommodate two endless aprons driven by the second bottom roller and journaled in cap bars intermediately of the second top roller and second bottom roller while the circuit of each apron encloses a guide bar and the apron roller with the upper and lower flights of the apron extending directly from the bar to the roller ; each apron roller is thus adapted for easy removal and replacement without disturbance of adjoining apron rollers or stoppage of the frame. As shown the second bottom roller 18, which drives the aprons 26 is disposed in a lower position than usual and is journaled in an adjustable bearing 24 while the apron roller 25 is mounted in the cap bars 15 intermediate the roller 18 and the second top roller 13. The roller 25, of two spindles length, has bosses 25a, 25b for the two aprons 26 which are trained around a stationary guide bar 27 held loosely in the cap bars with its forward edge close to the nip of the front rollers 12, 17. and provided with pins 28 for guiding the aprons; alternatively, the aprons may be guided by flanges on the rollers. The roller 25 is weighted by a saddle 23a forming an extension of the front roller weighting hook 23.
