Abstract
1379289 Machinery guards SPINNEREIMASCHINENBAU KARL - MARX - STADT VEB 22 Dec 1972 59323/72 Heading F2J A guard for a drawing frame and the flyers of a spinning machine, more particularly a roving or fly frame, comprises two separate guard positions 2 and 4 located respectively above the drawing frame 1 and in front of the flyers 3 and interconnected by links 11, 12 pivotally connected by bolts 13, the top guard portion 2 being pivotally mounted at its rear end 5 on the machine and the front guard portion 4 being pivotally connected at 14 to a stay 15 the other end of which is pivotally mounted at 16 on the machine. The guard assembly is thus pivotable upwards from its normal service position (as shown) to its inoperative position for bobbin changes, &c. the two end positions being controlled by stops 9 and 18 respectively, a tension spring 17, connected between the guard portion 2 and stay 15, assisting upward movement of the guard assembly.
