Abstract

554,344. Kegs &c. METAL CONTAINERS, Ltd., and ROWAN, W. Dec. 22, 1941, No. 16524. [Class 21] A keg &c. with a tight-fitting lid has the mouth reinforced by folding the metal 2 tight on itself and by forming one or more corrugations 3, and the lid has a flange 6 curled back inwardly at a point beyond the rim to accommodate a rubber &c. washer 7 and to provide leverage for removing the lid. The washer may grip on the outside of rim 2. Pivoted opening clips 12 may be carried by the body and may be connected to clips 14 on the lid by sealing wires &c. which may be laced together.
