550,674. Drying drums. NEWELL & CO., Ltd., E., and HOWDEN, P. Nov. 12, 1941, No. 14560. [Class 34 (ii)] Looped chains 17 provided in a drying drum 10 for breaking up the material being dried are suspended at an angle to the drum axis from spaced rings of hooks 12, 13 on the drum wall. The material is fed into the drum by helical ribs 11.
