Abstract

1,033,042. Tumbler driers. H. GESSNER. Feb. 21, 1964, No. 7326/64. Heading F4G. A tumbler drier for batches of washing comprises a rotary perforated drum 1 open at both ends and pivotable on hinged plate 5, and has a feed container 15 associated with one end of the drum which is interconnected by a lever system 10,12, 13,14 operated by an hydraulically or pneumatically operated piston and cylinder 16 such that when the drum is tilted, as shown, to the discharge position the feed container is loaded with washing and when the drum is returned to a substantially horizontal position the container is positioned to discharge washing contained therein into the drum.
