[Classes 113 (i) and 113 (ii)] A submersible cargo vessel comprises an inner hull for the engines, crew's accommodation &c. which is of circular cross-section and is surrounded by an outer hull for the cargo &c. the outer hull being of lighter construction and supported on the inner hull by cantilevers. The hatches are welded or riveted to secure an airtight fitting.
