[Class 29] The bottom of a cabinet storage compartment I is maintained cool, in spite of heat transmitted from the machine compartment below it, by a closed condensing heat transfer system having its evaporator portion formed as coils 23 in good thermal contact with the bottom of the liner and its condensing portion formed as coils 24 in thermal contact with a part of the liner near the usual evaporator 13 or cooling element of the storage space. The coils and connecting conduits are preferably D-shaped tubes 22 with their flat sides against the outside of the liner 18, Fig. 3. Pans for food to be maintained moist may be supported on the bottom wall without the usual risk of dehydration.
