539,410. Textile spinning &c. spindles. YORK STREET FLAX SPINNING CO., Ltd., and EMANS, H. G. May 4, 1940, No. 8029. [Class 120 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIV] Roving spinning, and twisting spindles C have a neck bearing A with barrel-shaped exterior fitting closely within a cylindrical hole b in the neck rail B, the footstep bearing E also being a barrel-shaped part e fitting within a hole f in the rail F. The neck bearing may have one or more bushes D<SP>1</SP> .. D3 formed of porous metal to receive oil passages d, felt ring a5 in cup a2 and oil well a3, and the footstep bearing has a bush G and a cone bearing e<SP>1</SP> both of porous metal. The oil reservoirs formed by the cups a<SP>2</SP>, e<SP>2</SP> carry felt washers a<SP>5</SP>, e<SP>3</SP>.
