Abstract
539,113. Drawing rollers for preparing and spinning machines. SALVADOR. J. Feb. 2, 1940, No. 2093. Convention date, Feb. 4, 1939. [Class 120 (ii)] A cylinder or roller for the drawing mechanism of preparing and spinning machines is provided with a circumferential ring of rubber or like material projecting from the periphery of the cylinder at the middle of the length thereof and of a width only slightly greater than the width of the roving being operated upon. As shown the ring 3 is embedded in a peripheral groove 2 in the roller 1. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the use of more than one ring on the cylinder. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
