Abstract

535,948. Oil stoves. IMBER, J., and ALADDIN INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Nov. 2, 1939. No. 29244. [Class 126] A portable oil stove for warming up internal combustion engines comprises an oil reservoir A provided with a burner B preferably of the annular wick type surrounded by a chimney C and supplied with air through a passage 1, 2 in the base of the oil reservoir. A casing D surrounds the burner and spaced metallic gauze elements 19, 20, 34, 35 are provided at the side and top of the stove and at the entrance of the draught passage 1, 2 as indicated at 3. The oil reservoir is supported on legs 9 fixed to a tray 7 and is provided at the top with an annular ring 15 which forms a seating for the base 18 of the casing D which has upper and lower apertures 22, 23. Above the gauzes 34, 35 is a cover plate 40 which carries a cup 45 for collecting oil drippings from an engine or machine to which heat is applied. A guard 49 attached to the tray 7 surrounds the lower part of the stove.
