Abstract

532,663. Air-raid shelters. COLLINS, F. E. May 15, 1939, No. 14526. Addition to 518,165. [Class 20 (i)] A modification of the air-raid shelter of the parent Specification comprises the provision of a removable base which may be detached from a position within the cell. 'The base 1 is formed with a flanged edge 2 standing at right angles to the plane of the floor and is attached to the base of the conical side of the cell 3 by bolts 4 provided with wedge-shaped washers 9, to take up the bearing of the parts. The outer edge of the flanged base only contacts the interior wall of the cell and the bolts pass through apertures provided in the flange of the base and in the cell wall.
