[Class 44] [Also in Group XXXI] A strap and fastening for detachably suspending a bag &c. from a cycle saddle &c. comprise a rigid member 1 with looped or apertured ends 2, 3, a strap 19 attached to the apertured end 2 and threaded through the other end 3, a rigid clamping member 15 looped or apertured at one end 16 for attachment to the member 1 by the end of the strap, the other end having a curved tongue 17 passing through the aperture 3, and a screw 9 adapted to apply pressure to the clamping member 15 so as to cause the threaded end 21 of the strap to be gripped by the tongue 17. The screw 9 is mounted in a boss 7, which is secured in the member 1 by a neck 6 and is socketed to receive a key 14 for operating the screw 9.
