490,263. Knapsacks. BURNS, R. June 4, 1937, No. 15481. [Class 133] The upper ends of the shoulder straps B of a knapsack are provided with eyeletholes through which is passed the end a<1> of a shortstrap A looped around the upper part of the frame 2, the end a<1> being threaded through a further eyelet a in the opposite end of the strap and secured by a buckle, clip or like fastening D. A strengthening piece E, slit for the passage of the strap A, may be secured over the frame. The shoulder straps may be united by being attached to a single eyelet or one or both of them may be connected to the strap A by the eyelet a.
