Abstract
525,760. Rotary engines. AKTIEBOLAGET MILO. Feb. 28, 1939, No. 6560. Convention date, March 1, 1938. [Class 110 (ii)] An engine, pump or compressor having rotors 12, 14, meshing together, is provided with a recess 38 in a piston thread 18, and/or in the helical recess 20 to provide accommodation for fluid trapped in the space 36 when it is filled by the thread 18. The rotor 12 has convex threads 16, 18, which co-operate with recesses extending axially from the line II-II on the rotor 14. Fluid enters and leaves by radial ports 28, 30, respectively. The rotors are coupled by gears 24, and may rotate without making contact.
