524,938. Motor mountings. ELECTROLUX, Ltd. Feb. 10, 1939, No. 4448. Convention date, March 8, 1938. [Class 35] In a vacuum cleaner with one end of the motor fan unit supported by a ring of rubber or 'the like interposed either between the motor fan housing and a spaced surrounding housing or between the latter and a spaced surrounding outer casing or an abutment thereon, the gap between the portions of the housings transverse to the axis is non-uniform and the ring is disposed at the point of minimum distance between the spaced housings and is provided with a flange extending into a wider part of the gap and spaced from one or both of the housings. In the form shown the ring 14 is disposed where the gap 21 between the transverse casing member 18 and the end 20 of the motor fan unit 13 is a minimum and the flange 19 of the rubber ring rests against the end 20 or between that and the tapering portion of the member 18. To eliminate interference with wireless, condensers may be connected to the inner casing 13. The other end of the unit may be supported by an insulating partition 15 and a rubber ring 16.
