Abstract
524,425. Igniters combined with cigarette &c. cases. EISERT AKT.-GES. BRUDER. Feb. 10, 1939, No. 4500. Convention date, Dec. 14, 1938. [Class 75 (iii)] [Also in Group XVII] In a combined cigarette &c. case and spring- lid pyrophoric igniter in which the latter is adapted to be operated automatically on closing the lid of the case, the igniter housing 5 is connected by a spring hinge 3 to the case 1 and is formed with an overhanging edge 7 so as to constitute the fastener for the spring lid 2 of the case, and a slide 15 in the housing 5 is adapted, on closing the lid 2, to be engaged by an edge 20 of the lid so as to operate a spring latch 11 for releasing the spring-lid 10 of the igniter. By tilting the housing 5 relatively to the case, the lid 2 may be closed without operating the igniter. In the closed position, the slide 15 extends into an opening 21 above the edge 20 of the lid 2.
