493,019. Electric-battery lamps. ELEKTROTECHNISCHE FABRIK SCHMIDT & CO., GES. March 9, 1938, No. 7366. Convention date, March 10, 1936. [Class 39 (ii)] A battery-lamp casing 1 has a side wall 2 hinged at 6 to the bottom of the casing and provided at its upper end with a flange arranged to extend over the upper wall of the casing when in the closed position, the flange being provided with an aperture 51 which registers with a screwthreaded bulb-socket 4 in the upper wall, so that when a bulb is screwed into the holder the flap 2 is prevented from opening. A sliding switch - member 7 operated by a button 8 co-operates with a terminal strip on the battery (not shown).
