Abstract

509,311. Endless - belt conveyers. MAVOR & COULSON, Ltd., and THOMSON, J. Jan. 13, 1938, No. 1116. [Class 78 (i)] Cleaning means for a belt conveyer comprising transverse scraper members 3 or brushes on a carrier member 1 are held with yielding pressure against the belt drum B by a weighted lever 6 secured to a shaft 4 on which is also secured an arm 7 pivotedly connected to a stem 2 on the carrier member 1. Movement of the member 1 about the pivot 7a is restricted by guides 10 engaged by pins 9 mounted on fixed plates at each side of the drum B.
