Abstract

500,251. Vehicle -window regulators. SLEIGH, H. L., CHESTON, A. S., and OLDHAM, F. A. M. Sept. 14, 1938, No. 26774. [Class 20 (iii)] A one-piece glazing channel 1 for the reception of the glass panel 2 of a sliding window is provided with a rack 6, engageable with an operating pinion 7, the rack being integral with a side wall of the channel. In the form shown in Fig. 2, a projecting portion 1b on one side of the base of the channel carries one or more springs 13 which press the channel against the inner side face of the guide channel 4. According to a modification, a strip of resilient material, such as felt, may be interposed between the contacting surfaces of the glazing and guide channels, the felt being attached to a T sectioned member of which the stem portion is loosely anchored in the side of the glazing channel opposite the rack H.
