Abstract

488,452. Cleaning floors. EISENLOHR, F. June 10, 1937, No. 16154. Convention date, Dec. 16, 1936. [Class 138 (i)] [Also in Group XXVIII] A vacuum cleaner can have'attached to it either an ordinary floor cleaning suction nozzle or a floor polishing device. The casing 2 contains an electric motor and fan, the shaft of which engages rubber rings 26 on two brushes contained in a polishing attachment 1. This carries threaded spigots 36 which enter sleeves turned by the finger pieces 16 to secure it to the casing 2. The handle 29 is then turned to allow springs 30, 35 to press the rings 26 against the motor shaft.
