Abstract

488,402. Float valves. BURROWS, S. F. Nov. 25, 1937, No. 32478. [Class 135] A device for lifting the arm 2 of a floatactuated valve to close the valve and prevent flooding in the event of the ball 3 becoming detached, whilst allowing normal free movement of the float and arm, comprises a bracket 4 secured to the rim of the side of the tank and from which an arm 6 extends over the tank to carry a spring 10 connected to the float arm.
