Abstract
478,373. Thermionic valves. DODDS, J. M., and METROPOLITAN - VICKERS ELECTRICAL CO., Ltd. July 28, 1936, No. 20910. [Class 39 (i)] A filamentary cathode consists of a number of wires a arranged in parallel and equiangularly with respect to two straight molybdenum supports b. Two or more such elements may be mounted to form a circular cathode' 1, Fig. 2, the supports b being held in clamps on pipes for cooling medium. A control or screen grid 6 may be similarly constructed and supported. The cathode may be oval shape in crosssection, and the construction is suitable for delta connected cathodes. An example giving sizes of the wires &c. is described. Specification 235,295, [Class 39 (i)] is referred to.
