Abstract
476,348. Lenses. TRONNIER, A. W., Aug. 31, 1936, No. 23829. [Class 97 (i)] In a photographic objective comprising, in order from the front, two air-spaced collective components, a simple unsymmetrical dispersive component, and a collective component having a collective cemented surface, the surface effect of the said cemented surface K is numerically greater than À25 times, but not greater than 1À5 times, the sum of the surface effects of the first three components, and the surface effect of the front surface V1III of the dispersive component is numerically greater than one third of, but does not exceed, the surface effect of the rear surface IVh of the rear collective component. Preferably also the sum of the surface effects of the two front collective components is more than two-thirds, but not more than twice the surface effect of the surface IVh. The radius of the surface K is numerically less than 1À5 times that of the surface IVh. Data are given for the system shown having an aperture of f /2À9.
