Abstract

409,465. Eyepieces. WARMISHAM, A., 1625, Hinman Avenue, Evanston, Illinois, U.S.A., and KAPELLA, Ltd., 104, Stoughton Street, Leicester. Jan. 13, 1933, No. 1158. [Class 97 (i).] In an eyepiece lens system of the kind comprising two separate compound collective components enclosing a separate collective component, the external surfaces of the component adjacent to the field are both concave towards the field and the difference between the reciprocals of their radii of curvature is less than 0À1 f, being the focal length of the eyepiece. The radius of each of the said external surfaces is between 0.9f and 1.5f, and the axial thickness of the said component is between 0.75f and 1.0f. Numerical data are given.
