[Class 78 (i)] In an apparatus for the continuous conveyance of substances, e.g. superphosphate and the like, while undergoing solidification, of the kind comprising a chamber of which the bottom is formed by an endless conveyer composed of a plurality of connected strips, one edge 8, Fig. 4, of each iron strip 9 is curved downwards slightly and the other edge 10 is formed as an open trough. Each end of a strip is connected to a link 11 of an endless chain. The distance apart of the walls 5, 6, Fig. 3, of the chamber increases in the direction of travel of the conveyer.
