Abstract

346,982. Endless s belt conveyers. FISHER, G. J., Briarlea, Penygarn, Pontypool, Monmouthshire. April 4, 1930, No. 10794. [Class 78 (i).] The idler rollers of an endless belt conveyer are supported on a framework consisting of lower side members 1 connected by transverse stays 2 having vertical extensions 3 carrying upper side members 4. The lower rollers 7 are mounted in the lower side members 1 and the upper rollers 6 in the upper side members 4. Clearing devices for material spilt from the upper run of the belt are formed of sheet metal strips 12 bent inwardly at an acute angle and having their lower edges secured to the lower side members. The bottom edges of the upper side members are chamfered to co-operate with the acute angled bends of the clearing strips.
