Abstract
464,365. Kinematograph apparatus. HAIG, D. M. (Casteel Research Laboratories, Inc.) Feb. 19, 1936, No. 5005. [Class 97 (i)] In means for winding endless films into at least two separately coiled sections, the sections are supported concentrically within one another by concentrically arranged rollers, and the rollers carrying at least one section are driven by means independent of the film. As shown, inner and outer coiled sections are carried by rollers 27, 23, respectively, the rollers 23 being formed with chain sprockets connected by a chain 26. One of these rollers, 24, is driven by a chain from a driven film sprocket 19 delivering film from the inner section to the projector. The film is fed from the projector to the outer section by a sprocket 11 driven by a motor 7 through a pulley 8 and worm gearing ; the sprocket 11 drives the sprocket 19 through a chain 13. The speeds of the sprockets &c. are such that the coils of the outer section tend to tighten and those of the inner section tend to loosen, and loops are provided above and below the gate. Radial rollers 28 and a guide 22 are provided.
