[Class 140] [See also Group XXIX] A veneer glueing-press comprises more than four press cylinders and pistons 11 which are operated in such a manner that pressure is applied from the centre outwardly. The work is inserted between press plates 23 suspended by lazytongs from the press head 15 which is supported by nuts 16 on threaded spindles 13, 14 and is rapidly closed by worm gearing 17 operated by an electric motor.
