454,752. Structural joining-members. LE RICOLAIS, R. V., 20, Rue Pitre Chevalier, Nantes, and SIONDINE, A. KLEIN-, 3, Rue du Docteur-Roux, Paris, both in France. Jan. 22, 1936, No. 2073. Convention date, Jan. 22, 1935. [Class 20 (ii)] A connecting member for a compound corrugated metal sheet in which the corrugations are disposed at angles with respect to each other is formed with one strip corrugated to register with the corrugations of one of the sheets and the same or another strip plain for bearing against and joining to the other sheet. In Fig. 1, theconnector 1 is shown angled at 2, and having a corrugated portion 4, adapted to register and be welded to the edge of one of the corrugated sheets 6, and a flat portion which bears against the edge 7 of the other corrugated sheet and is welded thereto. The connector may have the angle-portion 2 in the plane of the flat portion 1 for connecting to an I-girder. As shown in Fig. 3, a further strip 15 is connected to the corrugated connector strip 1 by means of a channel-section 13, this strip bearing upon the edge of the corrugated plate 7 of the composite plate 6, 7. In a further modification, the channel-sections 13 may be replaced by a flat plate.
