Abstract
448,681. Journal bearings. KUGELLAGERWERKE J. SCHMID-ROOST AKT.- GES., Oerlikon, Zurich, Switzerland. Jan. 30, 1936, No. 2881. Convention date, Feb. 16, 1935. [Class 12 (i)] A bearing is built up of two symmetrical pressed metal rings 1<a>, 1<b>, welded together at the abutting edges of their outside and inside flanges 3, 4, to form a hollow ring. The hollow space 2 is filled with fibrous oil-absorbing wick 8. The ring has a cast or pressed on bushing 9 which is secured thereto by interengaging grooves and recesses 5. Apertures 7 !ead oil to the bearing surfaces.
