429,000. Bearings. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN, 17, Artillerigatan, Gothenburg, Sweden. Oct. 11, 1934, No. 29187. Convention date, Jan. 29. [Class 12 (i)] A bearing for use with oil-bath lubrication has inner and outer bearing rings 1, 2, and side plates 4, 5, having lubricant openings 10, and an inner diameter substantially less than that of the bearing surfaces. The bearing faces may be spherical, as shown, or cylindrical. The side plates are fitted to the outer ring 2, the latter having cut-away parts 11 so that the plates bear thereon at spacedapart points. A small amount of end thrust can be transmitted at the side faces 6, 7 of the plates 4, 5. The side plates prevent the rotating bearing ring 1 from churning the oil in the bath.
