Abstract

493,672. Bearings. WILSON, T. H. Dec. 6, 1937, No. 33758. [Class 12 (i)] An axle bearing brass has a base B of inferior metal cast on to pre-cast end segments A of a superior metal such as phosphor bronze. The backs of the end segments A are formed with bevels, protrusions and recesses to interlock with the base B. One of the end segments A has a channel A<1> through which the white metal lining can be poured for lining the inner surface C of the base B.
