K., 30, Beaconsfield Road, Clacton. Dec. 14, 1934, No. 35932. [Class 123 (ii)] A boiler normally heated by waste gases drawn through flue tubes 5 is provided with an oil, gas or solid fuel furnace which is brought into operation when the temperature of the waste gases falls below that for which the boiler is designed, the gases from the furnace passing through separate flues 11 to the suction box into which the waste gases are drawn. The gases from the furnace flue 6 flow forwards through the flues 11 and then backwards through an external flue 13 to the suction box. The waste and furnace gases may heat separately formed units with connected steam and water spaces.
