Abstract
439,858. Commutators for electric motors. ORVAG AKT.-GES., 21, Mythenstrasse, Zurich, Switzerland. March 8, 1934, No. 7412. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 10, 1934]. [Class 35] The commutator of a motor particularly for gramophones is constructed as a condenser to avoid interference with radio installations. As shown, the commutator comprises an insulating plate 7, carrying a number of studs 9 some of which are connected to, the coils 3. The rotor poles are supported from the record table. Equipotential studs are formed by condenser plates 15 which are compressed between the plate 7 and an insulating disc 14 by a nut 13 on the spindle. The motor is multipolar and has two more coils on the rotor than on the stator, but a single pair of brushes is used.
