Abstract
254,675. thyssen & Co., Akt.-Ges. July 6, 1925, [Convention date]. Field magnets, dampers and short-circuited screens on poles of; conductors. - The damping winding on a salient - pole rotor is located in parallel sided or inwardly tapering slots, the middle lines of the slots being parallel or inclined to each other, and the grooves in the pole-pieces and in the end-rings are made by a single set of cutters x as shown in Fig. 1. For retaining the conductor bars in the slots, magnetic members 3 arranged, for example, as shown in Fig. 3, partly surround the bars and are secured by caulking as at x, or by the use of screws &c. The connection of the bars to the end-rings may be effected similarly. If the end-rings are securely connected to the pole-pieces, the damping bars need only be attached to these rings.
