Abstract
435,422. Spray-producers. WALLSEND SLIPWAY & ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., Wallsend-on-Tyne, HENDERSON, H. E., and MORTON, J. A., 35, The Temple, Dale Street, Liverpool. May 10, 1934, No. 14103. [Class 69 (iii)] [See also Group XI] In a liquid-fuel burner of the type described in Specifications 26418/12 and 13221/15, [both in Class 75 (i)], comprising a tubular body formed at its discharge end with a counter bore in which is located a spool provided with fuel passages extending from end to end along its periphery each connecting at the forward end of the spool with an inwardly directed tangential fuel passage, and a nozzle plate held in position at the front of the spool by a cap-nut screwing on the burner body, the spool consists of a flat-ended cylinder 5 shorter than the counter bore 4 and pressed against the nozzle plate by a spring 10. The discharge through the nozzle plate aperture 12 may be controlled by a needle-valve 13 adjustable from the rear end of the burner body 1 or by a needle-valve stud threaded in an axial bore in the spool.
