Abstract
427,769. Sanitary bins &c. FIAT SOC. ANON., 250, Via Nizza, Turin, Italy. Sept. 3, 1934, No. 25337. Convention date, Dec. 22, 1933. [Class 26] [See also Group XVII] A detachable cover for sanitary bins &c., is formed of rubber or other resilient material and has on a portion of its periphery a flange 5, Fig. 1, having an inner groove 6 in which is accommodated the bead 2 on the upper edge of the bin, the remainder of the cover being adapted to be raised, and closing automatically by reason of its elasticity. A band 15 connected to the flange passes around the bin and carries a hook 10 to which may be fastened a strap 8 which may also be used for opening the cover. A rubber ring 11, Fig. 4, may in certain circumstances be employed for securing the cover on the bin. The strap 8 may be operated by a second strap &c. 12, Fig. 3, and a foot-plate 13 so contrived that only one end thereof is in contact with the ground. The plate may be secured to the bin or the ground.
