Abstract
391,267. Closures for jam-jars &c. OTTEWELL, W. H., Meadow Court, Westenhanger, near Hythe, Kent. Jan. 19, 1932, Neo. 1669. [Class 125 (iii).] A closure for jam-jars &c. comprises a ring- like member 4 provided at its lower part with means which coact with a raised lip 2 on the neck of the jam-jar &c. to hold said ring- like member tightly over the mouth of the latter, said ring being screw-threaded at its upper part and adapted to receive a screw-top 8 of the usual type. As shown, said means comprise resilient tongues 5, but a split ring could be substituted therefor.
