Abstract

935,117. Stoppers. LE BOUCHAGE MECANIQUE. Dec. 14, 1959 [Dec. 12, 1958], No. 42476/59. Class 125(3). A closure means formed of resilient material comprises an obturator having a top 9 and a stem 10 integrally connected to a neck portion 6 by a weakened zone 8. The neck portion 6 may be formed integrally with the receptacle 5 or be formed with shoulders 2, 3 tightly engageable with the aperture 4 of the container. In order to reseal the receptacle the stem 10 may be formed with a central portion 12 of greater diameter than the remainder, which tightly engages a lip 7 on the neck portion or the obturator may be a screw plug or screw cap. A handle or knob may be provided on the obturator to facilitate its removal. from the neck portion and it may also be provided with a tie member securing it to the neck portion.
