Abstract
427,529. Liquid - fuel burners. WILTSHIRE, W. F., 16, Birmingham Factory Centre, King's Norton, Birmingham. Oct. 24, 1934, No. 30524. Addition to 414,756. [Class 75 (i)] A liquid or colloidal fuel burner 1 according to the parent Specification is supplied with fuel from a tank 2 which is arranged below the burner level and is connected by a pipe 7 to the burner air supply pipe 6, means being provided for adjusting the pressure in the tank so as just to overcome the negative head h and the resistance in the fuel pipe 5. The pressure adjustment may be effected by providing an air leak 2<a> in the tank 2 and a regulating cock 8 either in the pipe 7 or at the air leak 2<a>. The tank 2 is fed with fuel by a pipe 3 controlled by a float-operated valve 4.
