Abstract

188,900. Cannon Iron Foundries, Ltd., and Hawthorne, H. S. Oct. 18, 1921. Atmospheric gas burners; burners, regulating and controlling.-A gas burner comprises a screw-threaded gas nipple 6, arranged opposite the open end of a mixing-tube 7 and provided with a flat perforated end of approximately the same diameter as the mixing-tube, the nipple being adapted to be screwed more or less into a tubular chamber 5, or directly into a gas supply pipe, to regulate the air supply. The nipple 6 is rotated by means of a milled edge on an annular flange formed by the edge of the perforated end, and is locked in position by a lock-nut 9. The tubular chamber 5 communicates through a passage 4 with a short sleeve 2 into one end of which is screwed a gas supply pipe 1 and into the other end of which is screwed a screw-threaded rod 3, having a rounded end to regulate the gas supply.
