[Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] A stud-link is made by bending a rod 1 to C-shape and inserting a stud 2 with plain connecting surfaces 4 inclined to the axis of the stud. The surfaces 4 may be normal to the plane of the link or curved. The stud is connected to the link by flash welding. In a modification the stud is of T-shape.
