Abstract
466,794. Chains. KOHLE-UND EISENFORSCHUNG GES. Dec. 4, 1935, No. 33648. Convention date, Jan. 22. [Class 24] In a chain link of the kind comprising two U-shaped members 2, 3 having their free ends interlocked by hookshaped surfaces 1 and a transverse bridging member traversed by a key or bolt, the joint surfaces 1 are disposed so as to provide increased thickness of the hooked ends of the outer part 3 at the expense of the reduced thickness of the ends of the inner part 2. The parts are locked in position either by a flat key 4 lying in the plane of the link or by a bolt which traverses the link and passes near the free ends of the outer part 3.
